Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CashN (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CashN is a shift earnings tracker that allows you to:

  • Track work shifts and calculate real-time earnings based on your hourly rate
  • View earnings on the Dynamic Island, Lock Screen, Home Screen widgets, and Apple Watch (Pro features)
  • Maintain multiple rate profiles for different jobs or pay rates
  • Review shift history, set weekly earnings goals, and export data
  • Sync data across your Apple devices via iCloud (optional)

The App is designed as a personal productivity tool. It is not a payroll system, accounting software, tax tool, or legal record of employment.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CashN. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4. User Accounts

CashN does not require account creation, login credentials, or any form of registration. The App operates entirely with on-device data storage and optional iCloud sync tied to your Apple ID.

5. In-App Purchases

5.1 CashN Pro

CashN offers a one-time, non-recurring in-app purchase (“CashN Pro”) for $3.99 USD (or equivalent in your local currency as determined by the App Store). This purchase unlocks additional features including:

  • Dynamic Island and Lock Screen live activity
  • Apple Watch companion app and complications
  • Unlimited shift history
  • Full data backup and restore
  • Extended accent color options
  • Enhanced notification summaries

5.2 Payment and Billing

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. By making a purchase, you agree to Apple's App Store terms and conditions. We do not process payments directly and do not have access to your payment information.

5.3 Lifetime Access

The CashN Pro purchase is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. Once completed, it grants you permanent access to Pro features on all devices signed into the same Apple ID. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or hidden fees.

5.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.

5.5 Restoring Purchases

If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your Pro purchase at no additional cost through the App's Settings. This uses Apple's built-in purchase restoration mechanism.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use CashN only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Attempt to circumvent the Pro upgrade or any feature restrictions
  • Use the App to engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality

7. Your Data

7.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into CashN, including shift records, rate profiles, notes, and preferences. We do not claim any rights to your data.

7.2 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of the data you enter (hourly rates, shift times, etc.)
  • Backing up your data using the App's export features
  • Any data you choose to share or export from the App
  • Maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account

7.3 Data Loss

While we design CashN to reliably store your data, we cannot guarantee against data loss due to device failure, software updates, iOS changes, iCloud issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. We strongly recommend using the backup feature regularly to safeguard your data.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

CashN, including its design, code, graphics, icons, and user interface, is the intellectual property of Angelo Montil and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. The CashN name and logo are trademarks of Angelo Montil.

8.2 License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use CashN on Apple devices you own or control, subject to Apple's App Store terms and these Terms of Service.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 “As Is” Basis

CashN is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or reliability of earnings calculations
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with future iOS or watchOS versions

9.2 Not Financial or Legal Advice

CashN is a personal productivity tool. The earnings calculations, totals, and summaries provided by the App are estimates based on the data you enter. They are not official records of income, wages, or employment.

  • Do not rely on CashN as your sole record for tax filing, legal disputes, payroll verification, or employment claims
  • Always verify earnings with your employer's official payroll records
  • Consult a qualified professional for financial, tax, or legal advice

9.3 Currency and Calculations

Earnings calculations are based on simple hourly rate multiplication. The App does not account for overtime rules, tax withholdings, deductions, benefits, tips, bonuses, or any other compensation adjustments. Currency display is for formatting convenience only. The App does not perform currency conversions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Angelo Montil and its developer(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of CashN, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data, earnings records, or shift history
  • Inaccurate calculations or displayed amounts
  • Interruption of service due to device or software issues
  • Any decisions made based on information provided by the App

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the CashN Pro upgrade ($3.99 USD).

11. iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync (by being signed into iCloud on your device), your CashN data will be synced through Apple's CloudKit service. This sync is governed by Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions, not by us. We are not responsible for:

  • iCloud service availability or reliability
  • Data sync delays or conflicts
  • Data loss due to iCloud account issues
  • Changes to Apple's iCloud policies or pricing

12. Apple Watch and Widgets

The CashN Apple Watch app and Home Screen widgets rely on Apple's WatchConnectivity and WidgetKit frameworks. These features depend on system-level functionality that may be affected by:

  • watchOS or iOS updates
  • Device compatibility changes
  • System resource limitations
  • Bluetooth connectivity between devices

We will make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility but cannot guarantee these features will function identically across all devices and OS versions.

13. Third-Party Terms

Your use of CashN is also subject to:

In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms shall govern with respect to Apple's services.

14. Modifications to the App and Terms

14.1 App Updates

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of CashN at any time. We will endeavor to maintain backward compatibility, but updates may occasionally require changes to stored data (handled through automatic migration).

14.2 Terms Updates

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised “Effective Date.” Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Termination

You may stop using CashN at any time by deleting the App from your device(s). We reserve the right to revoke access to the App in the event of a material breach of these Terms, though given the App's local-only nature, this would typically only apply through Apple's App Store mechanisms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of CashN shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Angelo Montil regarding your use of CashN. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
